Ludo Game Setup

  • Ludo Haveli can be played by 2 to 4 players.
  • Each player chooses a color (Red, Green, Blue, or Yellow) and places their 4 pieces at the base.
  • All games in Ludo Haveli are played with two dice.

Objective

  • The aim of this ludo game is to move all four of your pieces around the board and into your home at the center before your opponents do.

Gameplay Rules of Ludo Haveli

Starting the Game

  • To enter a piece onto the board, you must roll at least one 6.
  • Double Dice Rule: Rolling a pair of 6s twice consecutively results in losing your turn.

Moving Pieces

  • Every dice roll allows movement of pieces already on the board.
  • Pieces move clockwise, as indicated by arrows on the game board.
  • If multiple pieces are in play, each dice value can be assigned to different pieces.

Capturing Opponent Pieces

  • Landing on a square with an opponent’s piece will capture or “kill” that piece, sending it back to their starting base.
  • You must capture at least one opponent’s piece before bringing any piece into your home.
  • If your piece reaches the final square but hasn’t captured yet, it cannot enter home until you achieve a kill with another piece.
  • If no other moves are possible and the kill requirement is unmet, your turn is wasted.

Safe Spots

  • Safe spots are clearly marked squares (colored squares with stars or arrows).
  • Pieces on safe spots are protected and cannot be killed by opponents.

Double Pieces

  • Two of your pieces can form a “double piece” anywhere on the board.
  • Only double pieces can capture other double pieces.
  • Single pieces landing on double pieces do not capture them and simply share the space.
  • Double pieces can capture single opponent pieces.

Additional Rolls

  • Players get an additional dice roll if:
    • They successfully capture an opponent’s piece.
    • They move a piece into their home area.

Entering Home

  • To successfully move into home, you must roll the exact number required.
  • If your dice roll exceeds the required number, the piece cannot move, and your turn ends without action.

Special Gameplay Tips

  • Strategically split your dice rolls among pieces to dominate the board.
